THE STRANDING Found cold stunned with core body temperature of 4*C.

THE TREATMENT Warmed very, very slowly to prevent shock.  Fluids administered.
She has a previously healed left flipper amputation.  She is covered in barnacles and mud, a sign she has not been well for some time.  She is placed in fresh water to encourage the barnacles to fall off.
Jan 6
Ate a few squid heads and soft shelled crabs on her own.  Given deeper water and a tank with a window view.  Lots of sunshine.
Winter 2012
In a short time RC gets used to the routine of fish and squid in the morning followed by a back scratch.  She is very peppy, watch out!
