ADMIT
 JAN 4, 2012
RELEASED

Weight 45.0  kg
SCL: 67.1 cm
SCW: 55.0 cm

THE STRANDING Found cold stunned with core body temperature of 4*C.  In other words, a block of ice.  She has a previous amputated left flipper.  The amputation point looks surgical but she did not have any tags.

THE TREATMENT Warmed very, very slowly to prevent shock.  Fluids administered.
She is in fresh water which will invite the barnacles to detach.
JAN 6
She started to show some movement Friday morning so we raised her water level and offer some tasty squid and soft shell crab.  She bit but didn't swallow.
Still, going after the food is a good sign and we will turn her around.  Her tank is next to WESTY's, our best eater, so she might get some good tips.

Looking good after her first bath.
