STRANDING
Banks was injured due to  an interaction with a hopper dredge working offshore to supply sand for a beach renourishment project on Bogue Banks.

 
THE TREATMENT The turtle was treated initially for shock with Dexamethazone,  and the antibiotics, Fortaz, was administered.
It was kept out of water for observation.  Externally the trutle presented with numerous abrasions, possible internal injuries are unknown at this time.
April 20 The turtle has been placed in shallow water. After two days of tube feeding the sea turtle is now eating fish on her own.
