| July 2010 |
Bear II had a tough winter working on
getting her flippers moving correctly.![]() |
| SEPT 2010 |
Bear II upgraded to larger accommodations
and she is loving it. |
| JAN 2010 |
Bear's
appetit is increasing and expanding. She uses her front flippers
in a limited way to swim around the tank. Each day is better than
the day before.![]() CLICK HERE A CLICK HERE B for underwater video of the cutest turtle in the house (she and I have come a long way) |
| DEC 2011 |
Bear
enjoyed a long summer as the number 2 turtle on the tour. She
continues to improve. Her favorite food is crab and sometimes
refuses other food when crab is not available. |
| Winter 2012 |
This
turtle has come a long way. It has taken three years to resolve
the flipper issues. Indulging in a personal note, BearII is a
favorite of yours truly and each day of improvement brings her one day
closer to the goal of release. After all of time spent coaxing
her to eat, dealing with hunger strikes when all she wanted was crab to
eat, and watching her improve, it will be very difficult to say
good-bye this summer. |
