from mouth.

TREATMENT
May 21, 2003 |
The turtle was placed under anesthesia on site by Dr. Craig Harms and the hook was removed. |
| JULY 2003 | Casper has been restarted on fortaz due to breathing difficulties and a lump on the glottis. |
| Winter 2003 | Casper was taken to the NC State School of Veterinary Medicine to have the lump removed. Testing revealed that the Casper has FP, a usually fatal disease, particularly when internal. For more on the horrible disease, please visit www.turtles.org or www.turtlehospital.org. |

| MAY 05 |
 Casper will return to the vet school to exam the glottis and determine if the FP has returned. If Casper is FP free she will be released in June. |
