THE 
STRANDING		 Found nearly lifeless in a pound net.  Extremely heavy barnacle and leech load.
THE TREATMENT 
Delivered to the KBSTRRC May 20, 2002.  The turtle was placed in fresh water due to the heavy barnacle and leech load.  This turtle remains extremely lethargic and uninterested in food.
  It didn't take long before the daily care and feeding helped this turtle back to health.  She experienced a great recovery over the course of the summer.  Released September 18, 2002.
