| THE STRANDING | Found stranded on a sand flat
at low tide, making no attempt to head back to the water. A
commercial fisherman that lived in the neighborhood knew something
wasn't right and called Wendy Cluse of NC Wildlife Resources. He
and his girlfriend kept Gale comfortable by pouring water over her
until Wendy could arrive. They, along with some other kind
citizens, helped carry her off the flat and into her truck.

food, Gale is on her way to recovery.  |
