| THE STRANDING | Caught in fishing gear near Holden Beach, NC. The turtle was being reeling in backwards and it is surmised that something bit off her flipper at that time. |

Today was final exam day for the turtles slated for a June release. Nine turtles were measured, weighed, and had blood drawn. Holden's flipper was examined by Dr. Craig Harms who was pleased with the healing. Hematocrit 30 % |
