THE STRANDING Found 9/02/00 several miles off the coast of Sandy Hook, New Jersey.
Brought in by private vessel to Leonaido Marina.
THE TREATMENT Cared for by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigatine, New Jersey.  Transfered to the KBSTRRC 9/07/00 for continued care.
UPDATE 9/7/00 This turtle has abrasions on the plastron along keel and midline.
 The turtle is unable to submerge.

Over the winter JerseyII steadily improved, able to submerge and eat from the botttom.

Today all turtles slated for a June release were measured, weighed and had blood drawn.
