| THE
STRANDING |
Observed in distress near
Wrightsville Beach. Initially residents thought the turtle was
caught on something and called turtle hauler Nancy Fahey for
help. With the help of friend in the water (Peggy Spalleck)
and Nancy in a borrowed kayak, they were able to paddle out to
the turtle. "Lagoon" surfaced between them. They each took a side
and propelled the turtle into shore.
From there she was placed into a kiddie pool and on to the KBSTRRC.
