| THE STRANDING | Washed up on the beach near old
Drum Inlet, north of Core Banks.
Very lethargic. |
| THE TREATMENT | Kept out of water. This
turtle is only able to use her head. No flipper movement
noted. Treated with antibiotics |
| The turtle did poop a couple of times which
is always a good sign. We did find small shells that would indicate she was scrounging in mud or sand for something to eat. |
