| THE STRANDING | Found cold stunned on Cape
Lookout near 3 others that did not survive. Rescued by biologist Jon Altman and transferred to Wendy Cluse at Harker's Island. The turtle then visited Drs. Harms and Anderson for a round of injections, necessary but seemingly unappreciated. Wendy then transferred the turtle to KBSTRRC volunteers Jim and Sandy Sly at the Piggly Wiggly in Swansboro, and a name was born.  |
| THE TREATMENT | Warmed slowly. Wound on
left rear flipper flushed and medicated. Antibiotics by injecton.  |
