| THE
STRANDING |
Alert boaters Lucy and Carlyle
Gee notitced this turtle passively floating on the surface of the water
near Masonboro Island. Worried that the turtle would be hit by a
passing boat before rescuers could arrive, the Gees were able to get
the turtle into their boat. Nancy Fahey met them at the dock and
transported the turtle to the KBSTRRC.
She was named in honor of Memorial Day.
