| THE STRANDING | Found floating in Cape Lookout Bight, hand captured. Very lethargic, lots of barnacles and leeches. |
| THE TREATMENT | Initially in fresh water to
kill the leeches and leech eggs. The leeches are visible near her
beak, and the brown patches on her plastron are leech eggs. She is very thin but she is eating. |
| JULY
09 |
Sennet spent the winter in the prime next-to-the-food-prep tank and never missed an opportunity to eat. She greets with open beak. After the June release she was bumped up in tank size and now enjoys the oohs and aahs of our guests five days a week. |
| SEPT
09 |
After the summer in the big tank greeting
visitors, Sennet prepares for life on the outside by swimming a few
laps with his new satellite tag. Follow his progress on the SATELLITE PAGE. |
