STRANDING |
Found in a pound net in Core Sound, NC. This
small loggerhead has 2 puncture wounds in the right side of the neck, probably
from a sting ray.

| UPDATE 7/13/00 | Sting is offered food and readily accepts.
First squid, but this was very difficult for the turtle to swallow, not
for lack of trying. The turtle appeared to be very hungry.
Next a very soft fish was offered and the turtle was able to take food
from the bottom of the tank and swallow.
