| THE TREATMENT |  
This sea turtle was rescued near Wrightsville Beach in Banks Channel. Residents of nearby townhouses noticed a small sea turtle along the docks. It appeared the turtle could not suberge, hid out under docks, and was in danger of being hit by boats. Nancy Fahey of the Wrightville Beach Turtle Project responded with a skim board she uses as turtle stretcher. |
| She was admitted with two propeller cuts to the carapace and is emaciated. | |
| DEC 2002 | Walker has benefited from daily baths and medicated
ointment applications, not to mention a good appetite.

| JUNE 4, 2003 | On a diet of fish and squid, Walker spent the winter gaining almost 12 pounds and getting healthy. |
